If you've ever looked up golf packages in Myrtle Beach, you've probably come across the Myrtle Beach National Prime Time Signature Package. It's one of the most well-known packages among Grand Strand golfers, and with good reason. It's an easy-to-understand, yet flexible deal that attracts a lot of eyes. Better yet, as Myrtle Beach National has expanded its wings in recent years, their choice of courses continues to get better grammar school golf . In peak season, which is happening right now, the stay-and-play package is $506 per person and includes four nights lodging. You can choose five rounds between the 15 (used to be 9 when I lived there) Myrtle Beach National-managed courses. They've really added some feathers in the cap lately, including one of my favorite unsung courses, The Tradition Club. You get to choose one premium course among the five selections: King's North, TPC Myrtle Beach and Long Bay Club. If I had to choose my five, I'd make TPC Myrtle Beach my premium course (I like the King's North layout a little better, but the TPC total package is worth doing with this deal, because rarely can you play a TPC this cheap). Then, for the for non-premiums, Pawleys Plantation (which is baffling to me that it's not a premium course) and Tradition Club are no-brainers. Then I'd add Willbrook Plantation and River Club. For lodging, I'd pick the package's True Blue Plantation villa option, meaning you won't have to drive more than about 15 minutes to any course.
